A Message From Mariah:
Sometimes life can feel overwhelming, like you are stuck in patterns that keep repeating or unsure how to move forward. These moments are not failures. Often, they are signals that something within us needs care, attention, and understanding.
I work with teens (16+), young adults, and adults who are navigating anxiety, trauma, relationship challenges, identity exploration, and emotional overwhelm. Many of the people I support feel disconnected from themselves, reactive in their relationships, or unsure how to regulate the intensity of their emotions.
My approach integrates Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and somatic, nervous system-informed practices to help you better understand how your body and mind respond to stress. Together we build skills for emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and self-compassion so you can respond to challenges in ways that feel more grounded and intentional.
Prior to joining Reclaim & Rise, I worked at Homewood Health Centre in Guelph, supporting individuals experiencing complex mental health and addiction concerns within an acute treatment setting. This experience strengthened my ability to support people navigating trauma, substance use concerns, emotional dysregulation, and major life stressors while maintaining a compassionate and non-judgmental therapeutic space.
I also have a strong interest in supporting individuals exploring identity, relationships, and belonging, including those within the LGBTQ2S+ community. Therapy can be a place to reconnect with your strengths, understand the patterns that have shaped you, and begin creating change that feels aligned with who you truly are.
I provide both in-person and secure virtual therapy across Ontario, supporting individuals who want to better understand their nervous system, strengthen emotional skills, and create healthier relationships with themselves and others.
You are not broken, rather, you have adapted. Therapy offers a space to understand those adaptations, develop new skills, and move toward a life that feels more connected and sustainable.
