A Message From Mariah:

Sometimes life feels disconnecting, like you are overwhelmed, stuck in patterns that keep repeating, or unsure how to move forward. These moments are not failures. Often, they are signals that something needs care and attention.

I work with teens, young adults, adults, and couples who are navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship conflict, and identity transitions. Many of the individuals and couples I support feel emotionally reactive, disconnected, or caught in cycles of misunderstanding. Some are working through self harm, substance use, body image concerns, intimacy challenges, or exploring their identity within the LGBTQ2S+ community.

My approach blends Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Internal Family Systems, and nervous system informed practices to help you better understand your emotions and respond to them more effectively. With individuals, we focus on building emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and self compassion. With couples, we work on communication, conflict repair, and understanding the patterns that keep you stuck.

Prior to joining Reclaim & Rise, I worked at Homewood Health Centre in Guelph, where I supported individuals experiencing complex mental health and addiction concerns. That experience deepened my commitment to providing grounded, evidence based care while recognizing the resilience people bring into the therapy room.

I do not believe you are broken. I believe you have adapted. Therapy is a space to understand those adaptations, strengthen your emotional skills, and create change that feels grounded and sustainable. You are the expert on your life and relationships. My role is to help you reconnect with your strengths and build something more aligned and connected.
