A Message From Mickey:
Reaching out for support takes a lot of courage, especially in the midst of struggle or uncertainty. Whether you’re navigating anxiety, relationship challenges, family conflict, depression, or bigger questions of who you are and where you’re headed, you don’t have to figure it all out alone.
At the heart of my approach is the belief that healing happens in relationships, when we feel safe, seen, and understood. I aim to create a space where you can bring your full self - messiness, uncertainty, humour, fear, grief, hope - and not feel alone in it.
I’m a registered social worker and therapist with nine years of experience in the mental health field, and six years focused specifically on supporting youth and families through complex emotional, relational, and systemic challenges. Much of my work has been in community-based mental health settings, which has instilled the importance of showing up flexibly, relationally, and with deep respect for the lived experiences that shape each person.
My approach is trauma-informed, client-centered, attachment-based, and grounded in anti-oppressive values. I have particular experience supporting 2SLGBTQ+ youth, racialized communities, clients navigating identity, parenting, anxiety, and relationship challenges, and those who may feel hesitant or unsure about therapy. I especially value supporting folks who haven’t always felt seen or safe in helping spaces. Whether we’re working together individually or within a family system, we’ll work with your goals, needs, and values at the centre.
You don’t need to have the perfect words, a clear plan, or everything figured out to begin. If you’re ready to explore, I’m here to walk alongside you.
