A Message From Mickey:

Reaching out for support takes a lot of courage, especially in the midst of struggle, uncertainty, or change. Whether you’re navigating anxiety, relationship challenges, family conflict, depression, the impacts of past trauma, identity questions, or simply feeling stuck and unsure of what comes next, you don’t have to figure it all out alone. Therapy doesn’t require you to have the perfect words or a clear plan, we can start wherever you are.

At the heart of my approach is the belief that healing happens through relationships, when we feel safe, seen, and understood. I strive to create a space where you can bring your full self - the messiness, uncertainty, humour, fear, grief, and hope.

I’m a registered social worker and therapist with ten years of experience in the mental health field, with much of my work grounded in community-based mental health settings supporting youth, adults, and families through complex emotional, relational, and systemic challenges. This foundation has shaped the way I practice, reinforcing the importance of showing up flexibly, collaboratively, and with deep respect for the lived experiences that shape each person.

I have particular experience supporting folks navigating trauma, anxiety, identity, relationship challenges, parenting, life transitions, and experiences of feeling misunderstood or unseen. I also value creating affirming spaces for 2SLGBTQ+ clients, and anyone who may not have felt seen or safe in helping spaces.

I believe that our struggles often make sense when we understand the experiences, relationships, and environments that have shaped us. My approach is trauma-informed and resilience-focused, recognizing both the impact of difficult experiences and the strengths, adaptations, and resources that have helped each person navigate them. I draw from a variety of therapeutic approaches depending on each person’s needs and goals. Regardless of the approach we use, my goal is always to help you better understand and connect with yourself, recognize your strengths, and create meaningful change in a way that feels right for you.

You don’t need to have everything figured out to begin. If you’re ready to explore, I’m here to walk alongside you.
